The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong- Peprah has cut sod for the construction of a modernized hospital at Duala in Burma Camp on Tuesday 30 April, 2024. The CDS in his speech, disclosed that the hospital would exclusively be accessible to military personnel and their families as well as Defence civilian staff. He noted, the facility would not only improve healthcare delivery to GAF personnel but also reduce work load on the 37 Military Hospital. He added that, the 80-bed capacity hospital would have all infrastructural, administrative and logistical requirements to deliver quality healthcare in line with his commitment to improve the welfare of personnel in line with his commitment to improve the welfare and wellbeing of all. This project being a collaboration between GAF and Mayfair Estates Limited, the CDS thanked Mr John Watson Otumfuo of Mayfair Estates Limited for taking up the project.
