The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong- Peprah has commended the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana (HCCG) for supporting the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to maintain peace and security in the country. He made these remarks when the executive members of the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana led by its Dean, His Excellency Domitri Avraam called on the CDS at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp on Tuesday 23 April, 2024. Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah also encouraged them to cooperate with member states of the Accra Initiative to achieve its mandate of maintaining regional peace and security. He stated that GAF cherishes the support of the Consular Corps in the area of logistics, training and capacity building for personnel. The Dean of the Corps, His Excellency, Domitri Avraam presented the history of the Corps to the CDS after congratulating him on his appointment to the highest office in GAF. He expressed the commitment of the Corps to strengthen the cooperation with GAF.
