The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the college, which seeks to provide strategic training for senior officers from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and equivalent national agencies, equipping them to address security and developmental challenges effectively. The NCDS’s Course 1-23 successfully trained 19 participants, preparing them to navigate complex security environments. Upon completing the 41-week programme, graduates were awarded a Master of Strategic Studies (MSS) Degree and a Fellow of the National College of Defence Studies Certificate. The Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has joined President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Defence Minister, Honourable Dominic Nitiwul, at the maiden convocation ceremony of the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS). The event was held at Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp, on Saturday 16 November 2024.
