Chef Faila Abdul-Razak, wife of Captain Reginald Ofosuhene Adjei has made the greatest strides ever in the history of cooking, when she displayed culinary skills coupled with stamina and liveliness in her bid to set a new cooking record in the renowned Guiness World Record.

The cooking marathon known as cook-a-thon commenced on Monday 1 January 2024 at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, saw the 6 Garrison Commander, Brigadier General Matthew Essien, Air Force Base Tamale Commander, Air Commodore Joshua Mensah-Larkai accompanied by some key staff appointments in attendance to offer their support.

Medical personnel from the 6 Medical Reception Station were on standby to administer her the needed medical attention. Additionally, troops from the 6 Infantry Battalion, Air Force Base and the 69 Airborne Force were also at the venue in their numbers to offer their support.

Chef Faila has officially ended her quest to break the record after cooking ten days continuously, making a total of 227 hours. Her record has been sent for review by the officials of Guinness World Record.
