The 1 Infantry Battalion (1BN) held a religious parade for the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) trainees at the Methodist Presby Church in Michel Camp on Sunday 15 December 2024.Preaching under the theme; “The End Matters”, Rev Captain Nathan Kwabena Lambert expressed gratitude to God for his goodness and protection over the Unit and the lives of the GPHA trainees. He also advised the trainees to be grateful at all times and stay focused to achieve their goals. The Guest of Honour for the occasion, the Deputy Corporate Human Resource Director, Mr Timothy Davidson Yelbaya in his address acknowledged the invaluable contributions of 1BN towards the peace and security of Ghana, adding that the devotion and sacrifices in the discharge of their duties and relentless services to the good people of Ghana is deeply appreciated. He noted that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has continually supported the Authority by training personnel of its Security Department.Mr Timothy Yelbaya urged the trainees to diligently go through the training as every aspect of it has been designed to help shape them into astute professionals capable of assisting GPHA to effectively deliver on its mandate of providing unique, safe and secured management in Ghana.Furthermore, he advised the trainees to rely on integrity, dedication and commitment which are virtues of becoming professionals. Adding that the rigorous training has been crafted to refine their professional proficiencies.
