An eight-member delegation from the Tanzania People’s Defence Forces (TPDF) led by the Commissioner for Estate Management and Building at the Ministry of Defence and National Service, Commodore Hamisi Msafiri Mtalika has undertaken a two-day educational tour of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF)

The two-day visit from 10-11 July, 2025 was aimed at acquiring first-hand information on the development and progression plans for personnel within the Ghana Armed Forces especially in the areas of enlistment and recruitment processes, training courses, promotion procedures, and retirement plans for GAF personnel. These areas are critical in enabling service members to plan effectively during and after their military careers.

The delegation was also briefed on the core duties and responsibilities of personnel within the three arms of service in GAF, emphasising their collective role in safeguarding the territorial integrity of Ghana.


Commodore Hamisi expressed appreciation to GAF for their hospitality and comprehensive briefings, adding that the insights gained would be applied meaningfully within their structures.

Speaking on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, the Director of Training at the General Headquarters, Commodore Francis Nyarko, assured the delegation of continued support in providing relevant information to facilitate a successful benchmarking exercise.
