GOC S/COMD CONDUCTS INSPECTION OF ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Southern Command, Brigadier General Isaac Nicholas Paintsil, has conducted a two-day inspection of unit accommodation facilities at Duala and Kpeshie Barracks on 26 and 27 August 2025, respectively.

The inspection centred on assessing the state of accommodation facilities within the barracks with particular attention to comfort, hygiene and functionality.

GOC toured several accommodation blocks and engaged with soldiers and families to gain first hand information on the living conditions of soldiers. He identified key concerns such as building safety, sanitation, electricity, access to water that require urgent attention.

Brigadier General Paintsil stressed that a conducive living environment is essential to the morale and operational effectiveness of personnel. He assured troops of the commitment of Command to upgrading infrastructure and resolving the identified challenges within the shortest possible time.
