1 Infantry Battalion (1BN) has organised a simulation exercise for participants of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFSC) Junior Staff Course 84 on Wednesday, 20 August 2025. The Commanding Officer 1BN, Lt Col Frank Adams, speaking under the theme Battalion Headquarters on the Field, stated that the exercise was aimed at providing the students with insight into the operational layout of a Battalion HQ in the field. He emphasized that the Battalion Headquarters (HQ) serves as the nerve center for addressing potential and actual security threats to the nation. As part of the exercise, a static weapon display was organised to provide practical knowledge on the use and application of key infantry equipment. The students also toured battalion deployment sites, where they observed realistic combat scenarios designed to simulate the unpredictability and challenges of modern battlefield operations.
