EME CHANGES COMMAND

The Base Workshop, Electrical Mechanical Engineering (EME) has changed command between outgoing Commanding Officer (CO), Lieutenant Colonel Francis Kwame Sasu and incoming CO, Lieutenant Colonel Henry Kwesi Nditsi on Monday, 26 November 2018 at Base Workshop, Burma Camp.

The Review Officer and outgoing CO said that, limitation of human resource was a challenge to the unit in the year 2016, as some working soldiers under his tenure of office lost their lives to a tragic road accident.

He added that amidst the challenges, the Unit continued to operate successfully under his tenure and it was able to provide equipment support for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF, accomplished all Regimental assigned duties through the support from his technical commanders, administration and other stakeholders.

He expressed his profound gratitude to the Unit for the hard work and discipline in the discharge of duties and contributing immensely to the larger state of affairs in GAF. He commended his successor, Lt Col Nditsi for his new appointment and also acknowledged his capabilities of the assigned tasks. He further entreated personnel of the Unit to remain disciplined and professional as they had demonstrated under his leadership.

He acknowledged the Commander, Support Services Brigade Group, Brig Gen Stanley Bryan Alloh for his advice, friendship and support.

The leader of the German Armed Forces Technical Advisory Group (GAFTAG), Lt Col Wagner presented a token to the parade section for being the best during Lt Col Sasu’s command.

The incoming CO expressed appreciation to the Military High Command for his appointment and assured to work diligently. He offered his gratitude to God and Lt Col Sasu for his dedicated service to the Unit as well as his generosity and recognition he demonstrated throughout his tenure. He wished him well on his new appointment and assured to continue with the good work he had left behind.

Some of the dignitaries present were General Officer Commanding, Southern Command, Brig General Thomas Oppong Preprah, Director General, International Peace Support Operations (IPSO), Brig Gen Abubakar Issahaku, Commander, Support Services Brigade Group, Brig Gen Stanley Bryan Alloh, Director EME, Col K KK Kumi, some Senior Officers and Commanding Officers.
