23 October 2018. Members of the Accra East Grand Ladies Auxiliary of Knights and Ladies of St John International presented beverages and some medical equipment worth Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH ¢20,000) to the Allied Ward also known as the Burns Unit of the 37 Military Hospital on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
The items included Cartons of Milo and Milk, Boxes of Mineral Water, Boxes of Adhesive Plaster, Boxes of Vaseline Gauze, Pulse Oximeters, InfraRed Thermometer , Cotton Wool, Crepe Bandages, Cardiac Monitor and Electric Suction Machine.
Presenting the items, the President of the Knights Mrs Belinda Dogbatse said it was the core mandate of the catholic church of Ghana and the group to show love and care to mankind and also to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
Mrs Dogbatse noted that the items were meant for victims of the Burns Unit to aid in healing their wounds.
The matron of the hospital Col Annie Djokoto thanked them on behalf of the Commander of the facility Brig Gen Michael Akwasi Yeboah Agyapong and personnel. She added that, the items will go a long way in helping the victims on admission.
Present to witness the presentation were some senior officers of the hospital.
