29 October 2018. The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the United Kingdom (UK) Joint Counter Terrorist Training Team (JCTTAT) have commenced a counter terrorism course at the Teshie gallery range on Monday 29 October 2018.
The Course which is code named Project Karrel, according to Flt Lt Shelton who commands the UK team, is aim at training GAF personnel on how to counter terrorism and also teach personnel to become Instructors.
He added that the course was organised twice every year to train the 64 Infantry Regiment and the Airborne Force of GAF on Counter Terrorism.
He said participants would be taken through Advance Marksmanship training, Close quarter battle training, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) awareness training and Medical training.
In all 21 participants were drawn from the Airborne Force and 8 member team from the UK Royal Army, Navy, Air force and Medical.
