CDS PAYS WORKING VISIT TO TRAINING INSTITUTIONS

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on Friday 12 April, 2024, paid a working visit to the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and the Ghana Military Academy (GMA) both at Teshie.

The visit was aimed at ascertaining at first hand, the operational, administrative and logistics challenges facing the institutions and find lasting solution to them.

Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah first visited TRADOC where he was received and briefed by the Commandant, Rear Admiral Eric Adu. He later inspected facilities in the Command.

At GMA, the CDS met with the Acting Commandant, Brigadier General Charles Agyemang-Prempeh and his principal Staff Officers after which he toured the Command.

Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah emphasized the need to resource these training institutions to enable them offer quality training to personnel and to produce quality Officers for the Armed Forces. He reaffirmed his commitment to producing quality Officers, Soldiers and civilian staff to undertake the tasks of the Armed Forces.
