The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah has paid a working visit to the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS), Burma Camp on Wednesday 10 April, 2024.


The visit forms part of his familiarisation tour of units within the Ghana Armed Forces to introduce himself to personnel as the new Chief of Defence Staff and also obtain first-hand information about activities, developments and challenges.

The Commandant of NCDS, Major General (Maj Gen) Irvine Nii-Ayitey Aryeetey welcomed the CDS and indicated in his brief that the College could allocate more vacancies to Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and allied countries next academic year.

Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah commended the Commandant, Officers, soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the College for their efforts in ensuring effective and efficient running of the maiden course. He assured them of his unwavering support in the running of the College and also had a brief interactive session with the course participants.
