As part of his operational visits, the Force Commander Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Idongesit Uko Akpan, visited the ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) GHANCOY 3 Camp on 22 August 2024. The visit aimed to familiarize himself with and acquire first-hand information on the operational, logistics, and administrative matters of GHANCOY. He expressed his satisfaction with the operations of GHANCOY and appreciated the warm reception offered to him and his staff officers. Speaking on behalf of the officers and troops of GHANCOY 3, the Combat Team Commander, Lt Col Gabriel Mawuli Agboado, briefed him on operational, logistics, and administrative matters and thanked the Force Commander for his continuous support. Brig Gen Akpan interacted with the troops and commended them for demonstrating a high level of professionalism throughout the period.
