ACCIDENT VICTIM GHANA SUPPORTS RTA VICTIM

Accident Victims Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) has extended its benevolence to a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) victim on admission at the Neurosurgical Ward of the 37 Military Hospital on Thursday 1 February, 2024.

The victim whose identity was not known since he was rushed to the hospital unconscious by a good Samaritan when he was knocked down by a vehicle on the Tema Motor Way, was given the name “unknown Monday” by the hospital authorities. In an effort to trace the family of the unconscious man, the hospital spread the news on social media which caught the attention of Accident Victims Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located at Sakaman South Odorkor in the Greater Accra Region.

In response, the organisation lead by its Founder and President came to the aid of the unknown man, with a donation of assorted items and cash amount of five thousand cedis (Gh₵ 5000.00) to the hit and run victim who was later identified on social media as Mr Appiah.

The items include boxes of soaps, diapers, deodorants, Dettol, Washing Powders, boxes of Pepsodent, Toilet rolls, soft drinks and packs of Voltic mineral water among others. Donating the items, Reverend Benedict Crabbe said the foundation heard about the accident victim in December last year, and decided to the aid of the victim through the support of members, friends, corporate organizations. He called on the general public to support road crash victims.

The Officer in charge of the Neurosurgical Ward, Major Emmanuel Ntsiful, received the donation on behalf the victim and thanked the Foundation for their kind gesture. He added that the donation would go a long way to support the treatment of “Uknown Monday”.
