GAF-US military strengthens collaboration to enhance intelligence sharing

United States (US) military delegation led by the Joint Staff Director of Intelligence, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Henry Dimitri, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on Monday 4 November 2024, at the General Headquarters.

The visit aimed to enhance cooperation between the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the US in intelligence sharing and the provision of modern logistics.

The Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Major General Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu, received the delegation on behalf of the CDS. He thanked Lt Gen Dimitri for the visit and expressed hope that it would further strengthen existing bilateral relations.

Lt Gen Dimitri, in his remarks, emphasised the importance of collaboration among neighbouring countries to combat regional threats and pledged logistical support for the GAF’s operations in the Northern sector of the country.
