He made the statement during a durbar with the team at the Arakan Methodist/Presby Church in Burma Camp ahead of their departure on Friday 15 November 2024. Brigadier General Dzandu-Hedidor urged the team to give their best in their respective disciplines to win more trophies for the Ghana Armed Forces. He also applauded team leaders and coaches of the various sporting disciplines for their remarkable efforts in getting the teams ready for the games. He encouraged them to continue with the good work and added that they should be good ambassadors of the Ghana Armed Force throughout their stay in Abuja. 
The Director General Training (DG Trg) Brigadier General Winfred Dzandu-Hedidor has urged the Ghana Armed Forces Sports team to remain disciplined and focus on achieving success in the upcoming Africa Military Games in Abuja, Nigeria.
