Commodore (Cdre) James Agambire has assumed command as the new Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Riverine Command on Tuesday 3 September 2024 at the Navy Headquarters.

He succeeded Commodore Asiedu Larbi, who now serves as the FOC Naval Training Command. Prior to his new appointment, Cdre Agambire was the Assistant Chief of Staff in charge of Administration at the Office of the Chief of Staff, General Headquarters.

During a brief handing-over ceremony at the Navy Headquarters, Cdre Agambire pledged to build on his predecessor's accomplishments, focusing on enhancing riverine security, improving operational efficiency, and boosting morale within the Command.

Cdre Agambire brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in various capacities within the Ghana Navy. The Riverine Command is crucial in ensuring security and safety along Ghana's inland waterways.
