The School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS) at the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) Nutekpor has held a closing ceremony for the Wireless Telegraphy 1 (WT 1) Qualifying Course on Thursday 27 November 2025.
The course forms part of the communication specialization communication programme of the Ghana Navy designed to equip trainees with advanced skills in naval communication procedures, radio operations, message handling and equipment maintenance to enhance operational efficiency across maritime platforms.
Delivering the closing remarks, the Acting Second-in-Command of SMOPS, Lieutenant Commander Yaw Achiaa Owusu-Danso, congratulated the trainees for successfully completing their final trade course. He commended them for their discipline, determination and adaptability, urging them to apply the skills acquired to improve communication efficiency and operational readiness in their respective units.
Lieutenant Commander Owusu-Danso further encouraged them to uphold professionalism and remain committed to continuous learning as they advance in their communication careers.
