ACTS OPENS BASIC DRILL COURSE

The Army Combat Training School (ACTS) has held an opening ceremony for the Basic Drill Course (BDC 1-25) at the Army Training Command (ATRAC), Teshie, on Monday 3 November 2025.
A total of 70 personnel drawn from various units of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), would undergo the seven-week course designed to enhance regimental standards, leadership qualities, drill and discipline among Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).
Opening the course on behalf of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), the Commander ATRAC, Brigadier General Joshua Amanor highlighted the importance of the course in shaping the professional and regimental conduct of participants.
He acknowledged the challenges that had limited the regular conduct of the course in the past and commended the initiative of COAS to empower the various Army Commands to conduct basic courses and training to define the career progression of soldiers of the Ghana Army.
Brig Gen Amanor urged participants on the course to take full advantage of the opportunity granted them and excel.
