The Bible Society of Ghana has donated 480 Bibles to the Department of Religious Affairs (DRA) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) in Burma Camp on Thursday 11 December 2025.
The donation forms part of ongoing commitment of the Society to promote Bible study and nurture spiritual growth of GAF personnel and their families.
Programme Manager of the Society, Reverend Samuel Affel, highlighted the long-standing relationship with GAF and security agencies across the country. He emphasised that Christian values play a vital role in fostering discipline within the military.
Reverend Affel also revealed plans to produce audio Bible resources for troops on peacekeeping missions, to enable them listen to the Word while on duty.
The Director General of Religious Affairs, Brigadier General Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Military High Command and personnel. “We are grateful for this donation, which will help encourage personnel to deepen their faith,” he added.
