DEPUTY DEFENCE MINISTER COMMENDS GAF

The Deputy Minister for Defence, Honourable (Hon) Ernest Brogya Genfi has commended the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for displaying readiness and professionalism during Exercise Tiger’s Path held at the Jungle Warfare School at Akyem Achiase from 24-27 November 2025.

He also commended the Military High Command for reintroducing the exercise and lauded the participants, especially the winners of the exercise, for the outstanding performance, noting their efforts reflect the dedication of GAF to excellence and national security.
He described the Jungle Warfare School as a world-class institution, attributing its reputation to years of rigorous guerrilla-warfare training.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the President and Commander-in-Chief of GAF, John Dramani Mahama to retool the military, provide accommodation, training facilities and reliable operational space to improve troop readiness, welfare and morale.

Hon Brogya Genfi expressed appreciation to stakeholders who contributed to the success of both the school and the exercise, noting that the collective efforts strengthen operations of GAF and enhances national security.

The Deputy Minister as part of his schedule commissioned newly constructed roads and the Unit Square, describing the developments as important steps in strengthening GAF foundation.

Central Command emerged winners of this year’s Ex-Tiger’s Path. Support Services Command placed first runners-up, with Southern Command taking second runners-up. They were followed, in order, by the Ghana Air Force, the Ghana Navy, and Northern Command, respectively.
