A delegation from the Parliamentary Select Committee on Defence and Interior, led by the Chairman, Honourable (Hon) James Agalga has visited some recruitment centers on Thursday 20 November 2025.
The delegation toured the El-Wak and Nicholson Sports stadia as well as the Air Force Base, Accra which forms part of the centers to observe the exercise.
Hon Agalga commended the Military High Command, especially the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General William Agyapong for the smooth exercise and expressed satisfaction with the orderly and tranquil process.
CDS thanked the general public for adhering to the directives and measures put in place by the military to ensure a seamless process. He also extended his condolences to the bereaved families of the potential recruits who lost their lives during the stampede.
The Director General Human Resource, Commodore Francis Nyarko also confirmed that the Greater Accra Regional screening exercise has proceeded as planned in all 5 screening centers.
