5 February 2019.   The United Nations Multi-Dimensional Integrated Stabilisation in Mali (MINUSMA) GHANBATT 6 has accomplished its one year mission from January 2018 to Tuesday 5 February 2019.

The Director Engineering Services Col Nyarko welcomed the troops back home on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Service Chiefs and the entire Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and said Command had monitored their activities and acknowledged with pride, their sterling performance in the mission area.

He added that Command was aware of the extensive horizontal and vertical engineering works done by the GHANBATT and the efficient and professional manner the operation was conducted.

Col Nyarko commended them for undertaking major and minor engineering works for both the locals and MINUSMA, particularly extending humanitarian support to the poor and vulnerable populace in Mali and for supporting the security apparatus which had deepened the cordial ties between the two countries.
