A delegation from the Joint Operations Command of the Spanish Army led by Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Carlos Prada has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama at his office in Burma Camp on Thursday, 5 October 2023. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the already existing bilateral relations between both entities as well as explore avenues of increased corporation between both entities. Brig Gen Prada was appreciative of the warm reception he received from the CDS and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) as a whole. He expressed the readiness of the Spanish Army to support GAF through exercises, joint operations and other initiatives. Brig Gen Pranda revealed that Exercise Flintlock would take place again in Ghana. Air Vice Marshall (AVM) Michael Appiah-Agyekum, who received the delegation on behalf of CDS acknowledged the long-standing relationship between both entities and expressed gratitude to the Spanish Army for their collaboration with Ghana in joint operations.
