The Seth Anthony Jungle Warfare Training School (JWS) at Akim Achiase in the Eastern Region has held closing ceremony for the Young Officers Course (YOC) on Friday 12 July, 2024.

The Commander Army Training Command (CATRAC) Brigadier General (Brig Gen) SW Kweku Parbey, in his closing remarks indicated that course was very dear to high command . He said YOC has been designed to train young officers in the application of tactics, develop leadership skills and provide an opportunity for them to plan and execute exercises and operations at various levels of Command commensurate with the ranks and appointments.

Brig Gen Parbey acknowledged that, the overall performance of the students was good.

“Now that you have been exposed to the rigours of your job as a platoon Commanders you need to strive very hard to build on the foundation when you return to your respective units, your concern should be your career advancement and your future placement in the Ghana Armed Forces". He added.

He congratulated Lieutenant Kwaku Adu Asare of the 48 Engineers Regiment for placing 1st on the course that has a total number of 51 participants.

He also commended the Commanding Officer (CO) Lieutenant Colonel Jacob Codjoe, the Directing Staff, RSM, Instructors for a successful course.
