The Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency (HE) Shlomit Safu paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) at the General Headquarters on Monday 21 August 2023. The visit was aimed at introducing a team from Israeli Homeland Security Sector, which was looking to engage with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on possible security solutions they had to offer. The Ambassador highlighted the constant threat, both domestic and foreign, within the sub region and the need for collaborative effort to combat it. Vice Admiral Amoama welcomed HE Shlomit Sufa and her team, expressing his delight for their visit. He spoke about the preoccupation of the sub region with various security issues that have been unfolding, prominent amongst them being the recent coup in Niger. As part of the courtesy call, the Israeli delegation made a brief presentation to GAF on various technological advancements that could possibly be of benefit to the Armed Forces in the conduct of its operations.
