GOC NORTHERN COMMAND VISITS KARAGA AND BUIPE DETACHMENTS

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, has paid a two-day visit to the Karaga and Buipe Detachments from August 15-16 2024.

During his visit, Brig Gen Tei commended the troops for their dedication and urged them to maintain their hard work in keeping the communities safe. He emphasised that discipline is the cornerstone of the army and encouraged the troops to exhibit the highest standards of discipline. He also highlighted the importance of continuous personal training to ensure readiness for any call to duty.

The GOC underscored the need for professionalism in preparation for Operation Peace Trail, aimed at ensuring peaceful upcoming elections. He assured the troops that the Military High Command is aware of the logistical challenges and is working diligently to address them.

As part of his visit, Brig Gen Tei paid courtesy calls on the palaces of the Paramount Chief of the Karaga Traditional Area, Naa Bakpem KarNaa Abdulai Natogmah, and the Buipe Wura, HRM Mahama Abdulai Jinapor II. At both palaces, he sought their cooperation and support to help the detachments maintain peace and stability in the region.

The KarNaa expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the military in Karaga, noting that the stability in the area reflects their commendable work. Similarly, the Buipe Wura praised the professionalism and dedication of the military detachment and assured Brig Gen Tei of his full support in ensuring peace in his traditional area.
