General Headquarters Medical Department (GHQMED) has on Friday, 12 July 2024 presented an Ultra Sound Machine and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) to the 1 Infantry Medical Reception Station (1MRS) located at Michel Camp. Director-Medical Logistics, Colonel Michael Antiaye Addy stated that effort was part of initiative to upgrade selected outstation medical facilities with advanced equipment. He emphasized that the equipment would enhance diagnostic services for studying the developing fetus, abdominal and pelvic organs, muscles, and other soft tissues, thereby improving the diagnostic capabilities of the facility. The Commander Rear 1 Infantry Battalion, Lieutenantt Colonel Frank Adams, expressed gratitude, noting that the equipment would facilitate diagnostics and improve healthcare delivery at the facility. He conveyed appreciation to GHQMED requested the Military High Command to equip the facility. Senior Medical Officer (SMO) for 1MRS Dr Elikem Adiasani, together with the entire staff, expressed great satisfaction and promised to maintain it to ensure its longevity.
