The Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), Commissioner of Police (COP) Maa Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, has charged students of Course 81 to be fully committed to problem-solving, particularly in the training of personnel, their administration, and welfare.

She made the clarion call during the graduation ceremony of Junior Staff Course 81 at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) on Friday, 14 June 2024.

COP Tiwaa urged the graduands to uphold the tenets of discipline, integrity, and dedication as and apply the knowledge and expertise they had acquired. She noted that the course has broaden their professional and general outlook on matters of both national and international interest.

She expressed optimism that the knowledge gained would put them in a better position to appreciate and effectively manage the multi-dimensional challenges they would face in their careers.

COP Tiwaa said the threats to world peace and security stems from terrorism, ethnic and religious disputes, as well as natural, environmental, and human-induced disasters. She, however, appealed to them to constantly strive for a clearer understanding of what it takes to mitigate these threats.

'I exhort you, therefore, as professional military officers, to be proactive in your awareness and preparations at all times, to stay ahead of the challenges you might encounter in your future endeavors,’ she added.

The Assistant Commandant in charge of the Junior Division, Brigadier General Albert Kwadwo Dawohoso, in the course report, indicated that student enrolment for Junior Staff Course 81was 76, of which 67 were from the GAF while the remaining 9 were Allied students.

At the end of the 19-week course, Major Michael Ekpale was adjudged the overall best student, while Captain Victor Ngbede and Major Etornam Nuapah were the best Allied students and recipient of the Everard Award respectively.
