The French Language Centre at the 37 Military Hospital has organized closing ceremony for Basic French Language Course on Friday, 6 October 2023.

The five months Diploma awarding course which saw eleven (11) students participating, was aimed at introducing Officers and Defence Civilian Staff (DCS) to the French language to enable them communicate with francophone patients as well as relate well with military personnel from francophone countries on United Nations missions.


The Liaison Officer at the French Embassy, Lt Col Frederick Capedeville advised participants to continually develop their proficiencies in the French language to enable them communicate with francophone patients who patronize the 37 Military Hospital.

He thanked the 5 Garrison Education Office and the facilitators for organizing and contributing to the success of the course. He assured that the French Embassy was willing to assist the Centre in achieving high prospect with regards to the Frech Language.

Lieutenant Colonel Robert Laryea Okorley, from the 5 Garrison Education Office, stated that French Language was important because Ghana shares boundaries with francophone countries and that participants should make conscious efforts to speak the French language to enhance their communication with patients.
