The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Northern Command (N/COMD) – Brigadier General Worlanyo Agbebo has paid a working visit to the 69 Airborne Force, Barwah Barracks on Friday, 10 October 2025.
He was briefed on the Unit’s contribution to internal security operations and its rapid response capabilities in support of national defence especially the threat of terrorism and chieftaincy disputes.
As part of the visit, the GOC inspected key installations and facilities in the Unit including the Medical Reception Station (MRS), accommodation blocks and on-going self-help projects of the Unit.


Brigadier General Agbebo held a durbar with all ranks and congratulated the Commander Rear, Lieutenant Colonel Atta Junior Kwarteng on his appointment and urged all to support him to achieve the vision of the Unit.
He also commended the troops for their professionalism, dedication, and readiness to respond to emerging security threats. He encouraged them to cultivate the habit of saving by increasing their contribution towards provident fund, desist from the use of hard drugs, sports betting and recruitment fraud.
