The Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has commissioned the renovated General Headquarters Camp office block, fulfilling his promise to provide a conducive work environment for Ghana Armed Forces personnel. The renovated facility boasts increased office spaces, boosting productivity and morale.

During his remarks, Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah recalled his initial tour of the camp, where he encountered the deteriorating state of the office block, with its roof on the verge of collapse. Recognizing the negative impact on personnel, he initiated the renovation project.
The commissioning marks a significant milestone in enhancing working conditions and operational efficiency within the Ghana Armed Forces. Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah attributed the success to teamwork, determination, and commitment. He also expressed gratitude to Dr John Watson Otumfuo, CEO of Mayfair Estates, for his invaluable support in completing the project promptly.
This development aligns with Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah's vision for a highly motivated, well-trained, and well-equipped Armed Forces. Previous infrastructure projects commissioned under his leadership include a modernised bus stop, command gate guardroom, and accommodation units for personnel.
