Burma Camp Primary and Junior High School has climaxed its 60th-anniversary celebration themed, “60 Years of Quality Basic Education in the Military Establishment: The Journey So Far”, with a grand durbar on Saturday 26 October 2024.
In his address, the guest speaker, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, said the school has nurtured many brilliant minds who have become prominent personalities, contributing significantly to society and the Ghana Armed Forces in particular.
He urged the school’s staff to remain committed to instilling core values such as dedication, discipline, and perseverance in students as they had done over the past six decades.
The Chairperson of the anniversary, Director General Defence Civilian Establishment, Brigadier General Anita Asmah, praised the teachers for making the school one of the best in 5 Garrison and encouraged learners to strive for excellence. She expressed gratitude for the collective efforts that made the celebration a success.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Health and Guest of Honour, Hon Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, Mr Wisdom Darko his Personal Assistant, highlighted that schools in the barracks are not only focused on academic success but also on nurturing well-rounded individuals. He applauded the educators for their continuous impartation of values such as integrity, respect, empathy, and teamwork that shape the character and prepare students for challenges.
