NIC DONATES TO 37 MILITARY HOSPITAL

A delegation from the National Insurance Commission (NIC) of Ghana, led by the Commissioner Dr Abiba Zakaria has donated a cheque of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵100,000.00) to the 37 Military Hospital on Monday 17 November 2025.

Dr Abiba Zakaria disclosed that as part of the corporate social responsibility of the Commission, the donation was a symbol of solidarity and support for the victims of the recruitment stampede which occurred at the El Wak Sports Stadium.

She added that the commission intends to collaborate with other partners to build a national disaster fund that would go a long way to help victims in similar situations.

The Head of the Surgical Division 37 Milatary Hospital, Commodore Seth Adjetey who received the cheque on behalf of the Commander of the hospital and Acting Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces Health Services, Brigadier General Evelyn Vivian Abraham-Kwabiah thanked NIC for the kind gesture and assured that the money donated would serve its purpose and save lives.

The commissioner was accompanied by the President of the National Insurance Brokers Association, Mr Shaibu Ali who is also the Chief Executive Officer of KEK Insurance Brokers, the Head of Public Relations of NIC Mr Mawuli Zogbenu and other key personalities.
