The National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) has held a graduation religious service for Course 2-2025 at the Church of Pentecost Burma Camp Worship Centre, on Sunday 7 December 2025.
The service held under the theme “Called and Trained to Make a Difference in Your Chosen Area,” marked a significant milestone for the graduating cohort as they prepare to assume higher strategic responsibilities within the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and other national institutions.
The Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, Dr Ato Conduah Orleans-Lindsay, who served as the Guest of Honour, appreciated the Military High Command for the honour accorded him. He congratulated the graduands for their commitment and perseverance throughout the programme, and commended the President of the National Defence University, Air Vice Marshal Felix Adom Asante, as well as the Acting Commandant of NCDS, Brigadier General Fredrick Dankyi Ntiri for their leadership and guidance.
Dr Orleans-Lindsay urged the graduands to become instruments of positive change, encouraging them to apply the knowledge and strategic insight gained during the course to influence their institutions, communities and the nation at large. He further acknowledged the families of the participants for their unwavering support and encouraged them to continue standing by their loved ones as they take on greater responsibilities.
Delivering a Quranic exhortation, the Acting Chief Imam GAF, Major Mohammed Alhassan, reminded the graduands of the importance of making meaningful impact in their respective fields. He emphasised that the training should manifest in their conduct and leadership.
The NCDS Course 2-2025 commenced with the matriculation of 26 participants on 5 March 2025, formally inducting them into the College.
Over the past eleven months, participants underwent intensive training in areas including local strategic defence education, leadership development, regional cooperation, diplomacy, and other essential components of national and international security studies.
