NAVTRAC HOLDS INDUCTION SERVICE FOR COMMODORE AGAMBIRE

The Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Nutekpor, has held a church service at the School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS) Auditorium to induct Commodore (Cdre) James Adongo Agambire into office on Sunday 9 November 2025.

The service, themed “Inspiring Excellence through Humble Leadership and Team Synergy,” marked the formal dedication of Cdre Agambire as the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) NAVTRAC and 7 Garrison Commander.

Delivering the sermon, the Director General of Religious Affairs (DGRA), Brigadier General Benjamin Kumi-Woode, emphasised that true leadership is founded on humility, integrity and teamwork. He reminded personnel that humility fosters unity and drives collective success within any command structure.

Engineer Francis Ahlijah, on behalf of the Guest of Honour, the Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency Honourable Kwame Governs Agbodza, congratulated Cdre Agambire on his induction and commended the Ghana Navy for its professionalism and contribution to national development. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to improving access roads to the Command to enhance mobility, logistics and personnel welfare.

The Volta Regional Minister, Honourable James Gunu, lauded the establishment of the Command in the region, noting that it supports the government’s agenda to promote the sustainable use of the Volta Lake and advance the development of the Volta Economic Corridor.

The Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Honourable Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, also expressed confidence in Cdre Agambire’s leadership, describing him as a humble and dedicated officer. He urged him to prioritise welfare of personnel, strengthen civil-military relations and enhance collaboration with other security agencies to address maritime and community challenges.

In his remarks, Cdre Agambire expressed gratitude to the Naval Headquarters and personnel of the Command for their trust and support. He pledged to lead with humility and purpose, reaffirming his commitment to inspire excellence across all facets of 7 Garrison.
