General Superintendent Assemblies of God Ghana, Reverend Stephen Wengam and his entourage have visited the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, to congratulate him on his appointment to the high office of CDS.

During the visit to the office of the CDS in Burma Camp on Wednesday 10 December 2025, Reverend Wengam commended the CDS for his exemplary leadership in steering the affairs of the military, assured him of the continuous prayers of the church and prayed for God’s blessings, strength and divine guidance throughout his tenure.

In response, Lieutenant General Agyapong expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and their goodwill message. He acknowledged the Assemblies of God Ghana for its longstanding role in promoting national unity, moral development, and spiritual well-being.
He highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between faith-based organisations and the security services in fostering peace and stability across the country.
