The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command (N/Comd), Brigadier General Franklyn Worlanyo Agbebo has paid an operational visit to 11 Mechanised Battalion (11 Mech Bn) on Tuesday 18 November 2025.

The visit was to inspect the accommodation of soldiers and a visibility checkpoint provided by the District Chief Executive, Martin Akudugu Ariku at Binduri to ensure operational efficiency within the area.

Brigadier General Agbebo stated that providing accommodation for soldiers, especially at strategic locations within townships, facilitates operational efficiency and quick response to security threats. He mentioned that the location of the accommodation at the Binduri Community Day Secondary School would provide security for students and the community.

GOC reiterated the commitment of GAF in ensuring peace within Bawku and its environs and called on sister security services, especially the Ghana Police Service to continue to collaborate with GAF to ensure peace in the area.
