GMPC DONATES TO NSAWAM PRISONS

The Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church (GMPC) has donated food supplies and toiletries to the Nsawam Medium Security Prisons on Wednesday 26 November 2025, a humanitarian gesture to show solidarity to the inmates.

Lieutenant General Obed Boamah Akwa (Rtd) presented the items to both the male and female prisons on behalf of the leadership of GMPC and its Men’s Fellowship and assured the authorities at the correctional facility of a continued collaboration and support. He encouraged the inmates not to lose hope, saying “better days lie ahead”.

Imam of the medium security facility, Assistant Deputy Director of Prisons Adam Mohammed Muktar who received the items on behalf of the institution, commended leadership of the church for their thoughtfulness.

The Eastern Regional Commander and Officer-in-Charge of the Nsawam Medium Security Prisons, Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP) Patrick Thomas Seidu expressed gratitude to the leadership and entire membership of the church for their consistent commitment and contributions to the facility.
