GMA INTAKE 7 CELEBRATES 60 YEARS

The Ghana Military Academy (GMA) Regular Career Course (RCC) Intake 7 has marked its 60th anniversary with a thanksgiving service on 23 November 2025 at the Garrison Methodist–Presbyterian Church (GMPC), Burma Camp.

The Guest of Honour and the Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, in his message, prayed that the intake’s heart remain filled with fond memories, their gatherings enriched with laughter, and that their legacy be kept alive in the spirit and character of the Ghana Armed Forces.

He encouraged members of the intake to remain actively engaged, urging them to use their accumulated wisdom to refine doctrine, strengthen training and lead with humility. He entreated them to support families of service personnel as they expand their influence and deepen their legacy.

The President of RCC Intake 7, Brigadier General Joseph Kwarteng (Rtd), expressed heartfelt appreciation to the church leadership and the entire GMPC congregation for joining them in the celebration.

He highlighted the distinguished record of Intake 7, noting that its members have served the nation with dedication excelling across various sectors, particularly in academia and governance.

Several notable members of the intake were honoured at the ceremony including the late Wing Commander Robert Owoo, a pioneering figure in the establishment of GMA Intake 7.

He was posthumously recognized for his decades of devoted service, including his tenure as Vice President and later President of the GMA Intake 7 association.
