The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has on Thursday 6 November 2025, organised a health walk to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325.

The 5-kilometre walk, which forms part of a series of activities aimed at celebrating the goal of increasing women's participation in peace processes and ensuring their protection in conflict and post-conflict settings, commenced at the El Wak Stadium and ended with an aerobics session at Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp.

Deputy Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Commodore Francis Nyarko acknowledged partners such as Global Affairs Canada and the Elsie Initiative Foundation for their outstanding collaboration in advancing the agenda. Commodore Nyarko encouraged participants to continue working with pride and respect for women, peace, and the principles of equality.
