4 GARRISON OBSERVES 80TH REMEMBRANCE DAY

The 4 Garrison together with other security agencies in the Ashanti Region have observed the 80th Remembrance Day on Tuesday, 11 November 2025.

The solemn event featured a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of all who lost their lives during the World War I and II.

The event featured the sounding of the last post last post followed by the reveille, reading of the Binyon Verses by Ex-Sergeant Osei Kwadwo and prayers by the clergy.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Dr Frank Amoakohene, laid a wreath on behalf of the government and people of Ghana. The General Officer Commanding Central Command, Brigadier General Albert Sison Ogaja, laid one on behalf of the security services in the region.

Representing the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI also laid a wreath on behalf of the chiefs and people of the Ashanti Region, while Ex-Warrant Officer Class One Appiah George, Regional Chairman of the Veterans Administration Ghana (VAG), laid one on behalf of all veterans.
