The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Ghana Battalion (GHANBATT) 12 has ended its 7 weeks pre-deployment training with West African Soldiers Social Activity (WASSA) on Friday31 May, 2024.

The get-together held at the Army Peace Operations Training School (APOTS), Bundase was to wine and dine after successfully undergoing 7 weeks Military Skills Validation Training (MSVT).

The Commander Army Training Command (CATRAC), Brigadier General Stephen Parbey, who was the guest of honour for the occasion, urged troops of UNMISS GHANBATT 12 to be determined and prepare adequately for the task ahead. He advised them to put up positive attitude towards the performance of their duties in the mission area and urged them to continue raise the name of Ghana Armed Forces and Ghana high as a whole.


Gen Parbey further entreated troops to establish esprit de corps and support the Commanding Officer of the GHANBATT in all his endeavours.

Present at the occasion were the Commander Army Peace Operations Training School, Col Clement Kojo Digane and Commanding Officer UNMISS GHANBATT 12, Lt Col Godfred Asampong.
