GAFCSC Junior Division Course 82 students have paid an educational visit to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday 9 August, 2024.The visit aimed to familiarise the students with the organogram and roles of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), GHQ and Service Headquarters of GAF as well as tour the aforementioned headquarters. The Director General of Training at the General Headquarters, Brigadier General Winfried Dzandu-Hedidor welcomed the students and admonished them to attach all seriousness, observance and determination to the course to deepen their social and historical knowledge. He added that the Course module is one of the most important career development courses for officers as it focuses on shaping their leadership skills. Director of Research and Development at the General Headquarters, Colonel Jerry F Aglago briefed the students on the organisational structure and role of MOD, GHQ as well as the Department of International Peace Support Operations (IPSO). He counselled them to uphold and defend their respective countries' territorial integrity against all threats to ensure a safe and secure environment and promote sustainable development. A total of 77 students; comprising 62 Ghanaians, and 15 allied students from Nigeria, Liberia, Botswana, Gambia and Sierra Leone.
