Troops for ECOWAS Mission in the Gambia Ghana Company 8 (ECOMIG GHANCOY 8) and ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau Ghana Company 3 (ESSMGB GHANCOY 3) have rounded up training on Friday 15 December 2023. Events marking the successful completion of the intensive pre- deployment training included awards by APOTS, the West African Soldeirs Social Activities (WASSA), inter-company competitions in weapon stripping and assembling, pushups amongst other activities. Addressing the troops Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Stephen Woseadzikpo Kwoku Parbey urged both Companies to maintain the same momentum and showcase high level of resilience as they have exhibited throughout their pre-deployment training. The Officer Commanding ESSMGB GHANCOY 3, Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Mawuli Agboado admonished troops to take good care of themselves and take their physical fitness serious. He also extended the season’s compliments on behalf of the Military High Command. Present at the WASSA was the Officer Commanding ECOMIG GHANCOY 8, Lieutenant Colonel AP Derry and other Key Appointments for both Missions.
