The Army Special Operations Training School (ASOTS) has held a religious induction service for 702 Recruits of the Basic Infantry Training Course 1-23 (BITC 1-23) on Sunday, 8 October 2023 at Daboya.

The Command Operations Officer (COO) Northern Command, Colonel (Col) Franklyn Worlanyo Agbebo, on behalf of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Matthew Essien, congratulated the recruits for opting to heed to the national call. He admonished them to be determined to train, adhere to rules and urged them not to relax since the training was a tedious one.

Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Gershon Dotse, in preaching on theme “The Soldier’s Call”, entreated the recruits to always be loyal to God and to their Commanding Officer (CO). He urged them to be selfless during their training and remain steadfast in faith.

The Garrison Imam, Abdul Rahim Yamusa in his homily, urged the recruits to be grateful to God for their acceptance to ASOTS and to imbibe the spirit of unity.
