Zambian DA to Ghana Calls on CDS

The Zambian Defense Advisor (DA) to Ghana, Colonel (Col) Derek Mwendofyo has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama on Thursday, 4 November 2021 at the General Headquarters.

 The purpose of the visit was to officially introduce himself to the CDS as the incoming DA.  On bilateral relations between the two Armed Forces, discussions were held on Defence Industries Initiatives, exchange in security programs and involvement in national economic development.

Interacting with Col Mwendofyo, the CDS expressed his delight regarding the existing rapport between the Armed Forces of Ghana and Zambia noting that such admirable relations has made it possible for Zambian officers to attend the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC). He added that GAF would also make the effort to participate in Zambian activities from time to time.

The CDS presented a plaque on behalf of the GAF to the DA in appreciation for the existing relationship between two countries.
