The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has organised a closing ceremony for the Conflict and Management Course at the Ankrah Hall, on Friday 19 July 2019.
The 2 weeks course which was aimed at providing participants with a clear understanding of conflict and internal crisis management saw participants drawn from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Ghana Police Service (GPS), Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA). The rest were from the Media, Forestry Commission, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and 13 participants from neighbouring African countries.
Delivering the key note address, the Deputy Minister for Defence, Honourable Major Derrick Oduro (Rtd), said the key to managing conflict was coordination amongst security personnel and other relevant stakeholders.
He added that, the course exposed participants to the challenges people face during crisis such as flood situation.
Major Oduro (Rtd) urging participants to impart the knowledge they had acquired at their various working environment.
Certificates were awarded to all participants.
