A new Board of Governors for the Forces Senior High Technical School (FSHTS) has been inaugurated on Thursday 28 October, 2021 at the Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church (GMPC), Burma Camp.
The Board was sworn in by the Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Brigadier General Moses Kofi Gyekye Asante.
The Regional Director of Education Madam Monica Ankrah who was the Special Guest of Honour, revealed that FSHTS was recognised among the five best schools in the Region and applauded the Old Board of Governors for the good work done.
The Director General Personnel Administration, Air Commodore Mike Kwame Appiah-Agyekum who doubled as Chairman for the newly inaugurated Board, appealed to the staff and students of the school to be part of the success story and assured them of providing the necessary support the administration may need to enhance the smooth running of the school.
The Headmaster of the school, Lieutenant Colonel John Acquah appreciated his predecessor Lieutenant Colonel Osman Sham-Un Zuneidu for taking the school from less than 30% qualification into tertiary institutions to 80% and for also improving the infrastructure of the school. He called on all staff to come onboard with ideas and suggestions to help build the institution.
In attendance were the Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters Major General Peter Nicholas Andoh, Commandant Military Academy and Training Schools (MATS), Major General Charles Kodjo Abede Asomani Awity, Director Education, Colonel William Mawusi Honkae and Director Religious Affairs Captain (GN) Paul Adjei-Djan.
